Thanks for visiting Estela Llanos Personal Training. Squarespace (“Estela Llanos Personal Training”, “I” or “my”) respects your privacy. When it comes to your personal information, I believe in transparency, not surprises. That’s why I’ve set out here what personal information I collect, what I do with it and your choices and rights.
I keep our Privacy Policy under regular review. Any updates will be posted on this web page and, where appropriate, notified to you by email. This Privacy Policy was last updated on 1st June 2021. 1. Some key terms
In my Privacy Policy, when I refer to “Users”, I mean my customers who use my Services, including visitors to my site.
2. How does this Privacy Policy apply?
This Privacy Policy describes what I do with personal information that I collect and use for my own purposes (i.e., where I am a controller), such as your account information and information about how you use and interact with my Services. I use cookies and similar technologies. My Cookie Policy on point 7 describes what I do in that regard.
I collect various personal information regarding you or your device. This includes the following:
Information you provide to sign up to my newsletter, eg email address, first name and last name.
Your marketing preferences.
The emails and other communications that you send me or otherwise contribute, such as when enquiry about a session..
Information you share with us in connection with surveys, contests or promotions.
Information from your use of the Services. This includes: IP addresses, preferences, Ib pages you visited prior to coming to my or my Users’ sites, information about your browser, network or device (such as browser type and version, operating system, internet service provider, preference settings, unique device IDs and language and other regional settings), information about how you interact with the site (such as timestamps, clicks, scrolling, browsing times, searches, transactions, referral pages, load times, and problems you may encounter, such as loading errors).
Other information you submit to us directly or through Third Party Services, such as Google forms.
3. How I collect personal information
I obtain personal information from various sources. I do this in three main ways:
You provide some of it directly (by filling out my contact form or signing up to the newsletter)
I record some of it automatically when you use my Services (including with technologies like cookies).
I receive some of it from third parties (like when you fill in Google Forms.
I’ve described this in more detail below.
a. Personal information you provide
When you use my Services, I collect information from you in a number of ways. For instance, I ask you to provide your name and email address to sign up to my newsletter. I also maintain your marketing preferences and the emails and other communications that you send us or otherwise contribute. You might also provide us with information in other ways, including by responding to surveys, submitting a form or participating in contests or similar promotions.
b. Personal information obtained from your use of my Services
When you use my Services, I collect information about your activity on and interaction with the Services, such as your IP address(es), your device and browser type, the Ib page you visited before coming to my sites, what pages on my sites you visit and for how long and identifiers associated with your devices. If you’ve given us permission through your device settings, I may collect your location information in my mobile apps.
Some of this information is collected automatically using cookies and similar technologies when you use my site.
You can read more about my use of cookies in point 7. Some of this information is similarly collected automatically through your browser or from your device.
c. Personal information obtained from other sources
If you use a Third Party Service (such as Google) to fill in an induction form, the Third Party Service may provide me with your Third Party Service account information on your behalf, such as your name and email address (I don’t collect or store passwords you use to access Third Party Services). Your privacy settings on the Third Party Service normally control what they share with us. Make sure you are comfortable with what they share by reviewing their privacy policies and, if necessary, modifying your privacy settings directly on the Third Party Service. 4. How I use your personal information
I use the personal information I obtain about you for the following purposes:
Communicating with you. Communicate with you, including by sending you emails about in response to your enquiry and Service-related announcements.
Surveys and contests. Administer surveys, contests and other promotions.
Promotion. Promote my Services and send you tailored marketing communications about products, services, offers, programs and promotions that i think you might be interested in. For example, I may send different marketing communications to you based on your workout programme or what I think may interest you based on other information I hold about you.
Advertising. Analyze your interactions with my Services so I can tailor my advertising to what I think will interest you. For example, I may decide not to advertise my Services to you on a social media site if you already signed up PT sessions or I may choose to serve you a particular advertisement based on your programme or what I think may interest you based on other information I hold about you.
Improving my Services. Analyze and learn about how the Services are accessed and used, evaluate and improve my Services (including by developing new products and services and managing my communications) and monitor and measure the effectiveness of my advertising. I usually do this based on anonymous, pseudonymized or aggregated information which does not focus on you individually.
Security. Ensure the security and integrity of my Services.
Enforcement. Any legal terms and policies.
Protection. Protect my and others’ interests, rights and property (e.g., to protect my Users from abuse).
I process your personal information for the above purposes when:
Consent. You have consented to the use of your personal information in a particular way. When you consent, you can change your mind at any time.
Performance of a contract. I need your personal information to provide you with services and products requested by you, or to respond to your enquiries. In other words, so I can perform my contract with you or take steps at your request before entering into one.
Legal obligation. I have a legal obligation to use your personal information, such as to comply with applicable tax and other government regulations or to comply with a court order or binding law enforcement request.
Legitimate interests. I have a legitimate interest in using your personal information. In particular, I have a legitimate interest in the following cases:
To operate Estela Llanos Personal Training business and provide you with tailored advertising and communications to develop and promote my business.
To analyze and improve the safety and security of my Services - I do this as it is necessary to pursue my legitimate interests in ensuring Estela Llanos Personal Training is secure, such as by implementing and enhancing security measures and protections and protecting against fraud, spam and abuse.
To provide and improve the Services, including any personalised services - I do this as it is necessary to pursue my legitimate interests of providing an innovative and tailored offering to my Users on a sustained basis.
To comply with a court order or binding law enforcement request.
To anonymise and subsequently use anonymised information.
Protecting you and others. To protect your vital interests, or those of others.
5. How I share your personal information
I share personal information in the following ways:
Affiliates. I share personal information with my affiliates when it is reasonably necessary or desirable, such as to help provide services to you or analyse and improve the services I or they provide.
Third Party Plugins and Social Networks. I may share personal information with plugins, social media platforms or similar Third Party Services to improve your experience, at your direction, or when you intentionally interact with the plug-in. For example, when you use a Third Party Service to fill in a form, I may share your personal information with that Third Party Service.
Service providers. I share personal information with my service providers that perform services on my behalf. For example, I may use third parties to help us provide customer support, manage my advertisements on other sites, send marketing and other communications on my behalf or assist with data storage.
Process payments. I transmit your personal information via an encrypted connection to my payment processor.
Following the law or protecting rights and interests. I disclose your personal information if I determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, protect my or others’ rights, property or interests or prevent fraud or abuse of myself or my Users. In particular, I may disclose your personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, such as to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
Advertising. I share personal information with third parties so they and I can provide you with tailored advertising and measure and monitor its effectiveness. For example, I may share your pseudonymised email address with a third party social media platform on which I advertise to avoid serving Estela Llanos Personal Training ads to people who already use my Services.
6. Third parties I trust
I utilise the services of third-party provider software to provide services to you and that can involve the sharing of some of your information which may be hosted on third-party servers outside the UK. Please visit the third parties mentioned below for their GDPR statement and data usage. A list of third-party services that we use are:
Squarespace - to build and host the website as well as send you email newsletters if you have signed up to our database by positively opting in. You may unsubscribe from our email newsletters at any time.
Google– I use Google Analytics which stores information about what pages are visited, how long is spent on the site, how visitors got here and what they click on. This analytics data is collected via a tracking tag in the pages of our site and is not tied to personally identifiable information. I also use Google Forms.
Facebook & Instagram - I occasionally pay for online advertising which may include targeted geo tagging in line with the individual platform’s GDPR compliance.
I have vetted the security of these services as being of good quality. I encourage you to read the privacy statements of these companies on their websites. If you do not wish your details to be shared in this capacity, please tell me.
7. Cookies
I use a number of different cookies on my site. A cookie is information saved by your web browser. Squarespace places cookies on visitors’ browsers to help our site run effectively, provide the best experience for my visitors, and help learn more about traffic to my site. 8. Your rights and choices
Where applicable law requires (and subject to any relevant exceptions under law), you may have the right to access, update, change or delete personal information.
You can access, update, change or delete personal information by contacting me at estelallanospt@gmail.com to request the required changes. You can also elect not to receive marketing communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in such communications.
Please note that, for technical reasons, there is likely to be a delay in deleting your personal information from my systems when you ask us to delete it. I also will retain personal information in order to comply with the law, protect my and others’ rights, resolve disputes or enforce my legal terms or policies, to the extent permitted under applicable law.
9. How I protect your personal information
While no service is completely secure, Squarespace has a security team dedicated to keeping personal information safe. I maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards that are intended to appropriately protect against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorised alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse and any other unlawful form of processing, of the personal information in my possession. Squarespace employs security measures such as using firewalls to protect against intruders, building redundancies throughout my network (so that if one server goes down, another can cover for it) and testing for and protecting against network vulnerabilities.
10. How I retain your personal information
I retain personal information regarding you for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, for example, to comply with my legal obligations, to protect us in the event of disputes and to enforce my agreements and to protect my and others’ interests.
11. Data protection notice
The purpose of this statement is to set out how I use personal information I may obtain about you. By using the www.estelallanos.com website you consent to the data practices outlined in this Privacy Policy. For assessment and analysis (e.g. market, customer and product analysis) to enable me to review, develop and improve the services which I offer and to enable me to provide you and other customers with relevant information through my marketing programme. I may use your information to make decisions about you using computerised technology, for example, automatically selecting products or services, which I think will interest you from the information I have. I will contact you to provide you with our newsletter if you have opted-in to receive it. I will always provide you with the option of unsubscribing within each newsletter sent or you can unsubscribe by contacting me. I will contact you to administer any prize draws or competitions you may enter. I endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal details. However, I cannot guarantee the security of any data you disclose online. You accept the inherent security risks of providing information and dealing online over the Internet and will not hold me responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to my negligence or willful default.
